When global filters are active in your project, you can automatically export the same story for each global filter option, for example, 10 different markets. Harmoni makes it easy to create one story and then create 10 separate PowerPoint or Excel reports in one go.

1. Export a story with global filters
Once you create a story from a project with active global filters, you can export it using the global filter option via the three-dot menu on the story tile. Several options are available once you access the menu.
Ensure global filters are active and follow these steps.
- Select the story you need to export.
Note that you can save the story with global filters on or off and all the export options remain available. - Click the three-dot menu and the two options Export to XLS and Export to PPT display with an arrow next to each of these options.
- Click the arrow next to the required options.
- You can export the story with the Active global filter if you have a global filter selected, or
- You can export All available global filters to access all filter options.
Note that if you have saved the story with a global filter, this option will override the setting for the export. - If you select Active global filter the export will start immediately.
- If you select All available global filters, a popup box will display all the filters ticked and you can make changes to export the filters you require.

2. Export a view with global filters
You can also export a single view to PPT or Excel for each of the global filter options. As with the story export, Harmoni will export a separate PPT or Excel report of the view for each global filter selected.
- Select the story and view you need to export.
- Click the three-dot menu and the two options Export to XLS and Export to PPT display an arrow next to them.
- Click the arrow to access the additional options.
- As with exporting stories, you can export the view with the Active global filter or export All available global filters to access all filter options.
- If you select Active global filter the export will start immediately.
- If you select All available global filters, a popup box will display all the filters ticked, or you can tick only the filters you require.
